What side effects can this medication cause?
Possible side effects from indinavir may include:
abdominal pain
weakness
nausea
diarrhea
vomiting
headache
insomnia
abnormal taste sensation
Tell your doctor if any of these symptoms are severe or do not go away:
changes in the shape or location of body fat (especially in your arms, legs, face, neck, breasts, and waist)
stomach pain
nausea
vomiting
diarrhea
mild itching or skin rash
headache
If you experience any of the following symptoms, call your doctor immediately:
an allergic reaction (hives; difficulty breathing; swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat)
pain in your side or lower back
blood in your urine
urinating less than usual
increased urination or extreme thirst
fever, chills, body aches, flu symptoms
pale or yellowed skin
dark colored urine
fever, confusion or weakness
nausea, stomach pain, loss of appetite, dark urine, clay-colored stools, jaundice (yellowing of the skin or eyes)
Side effects other than those listed here may also occur. Talk to your doctor about any side effect that seems unusual or that is especially bothersome.
